Beschwerden: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at.
Google Analytics 4 (Analyse): Anbieter Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland.

Data we process: account (e-mail, password hash or sign-in link, registration time – Firebase Authentication), valuations (address and property details you enter, up to 3 photos for 30 days, the result and generated PDF reports for 12 months; if you set the position of your building on the aerial image yourself, that position (coordinates) and its distance to the address point, rounded to 5 m, are stored with the report for 12 months – it decides the report's aerial images, maps and image analysis, while the valuation still refers to the address you entered; so that the same address with the same position is valued the same way, a position you set is also kept, rounded to about 11 m and without a link to your account, in the address's valuation entry, which is deleted at the latest 12 months after the last valuation of the address; so that you can continue creating a report (for example after signing in, after the payment or on another device), your inputs (address, property details and any position you set) are kept for up to 24 hours after every successful aerial image check, together with a daily-changing hash of your IP address range (never the IP address itself) – also if you do not continue), payments (processed by Stripe, or by Apple / Google for in-app purchases; we store invoice and order data only, plus a balance ledger of your account), referral programme (your code, time and status of a redemption and – for fraud prevention – hashed identifiers of e-mail, IP range, device and browser; we collect no data about invited persons before they create an account, and referrers never see the invited person's name or e-mail), technical logs (IP address and timestamps for 30 days), the aerial image check and reports without a verified aerial image (to recognise a repeated attempt for the same address we form a keyed hash of the IP range, the browser identifier (user agent) and the address point and store with it the country, the number and the times of the attempts – never the IP address, the address, the coordinates or the browser identifier itself; this entry is no longer used after at most 60 minutes and is deleted within about a day; a granted retry pass (hash of the address point, country, times and, when you are signed in, your account) is valid for 24 hours and is deleted within about two days; when you are signed in we also note in your account a keyed hash of the address point with the number and times of the last refused attempt or of the last report without a verified aerial image, which is overwritten by the next such case and deleted with the account; notes from before this version contained the address point as coordinates and are replaced by the next such case; if you set the position of your building yourself, we also limit the number of different positions per address and day, using the chosen position (rounded to about 10 m) together with the hash of the address point and, when you are signed in, your account – this entry is deleted within about two days; to limit frequent position changes during one check attempt we store, with the hash of the attempt (IP range, browser identifier, address point), keyed hashes of the chosen positions – never the coordinates; this entry is no longer used after 60 minutes and is deleted within about a day).
Legal bases: performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), legitimate interest in security and fraud prevention (Art. 6(1)(f)), statutory retention of invoices (Art. 6(1)(c), 7 years).
AI processing: property details and photos are sent to Anthropic PBC (USA, EU standard contractual clauses) to produce the estimate and are not used for training. Satellite, 3D and street views in the online report are loaded live from Google Maps Platform (the street view only when you open it) and not stored; the PDF uses, where available, orthophotos and maps under open licences and never Google imagery.
Google Maps while you create a report: after you pick the address we show, where available, a satellite image from Google Maps (Google Maps Embed, embedded from www.google.com) with the position of your building. When it loads, Google (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; a transfer to Google LLC, USA, is possible) receives your IP address, technical details of your browser or device (e.g. browser type, language, screen size), the address of the calling page and the area shown (coordinates), but not your property details; Google may use cookies or similar storage on your device. On the website we load the embedded satellite image without your consent only if it uses no cookies or storage on your device; otherwise only after your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) TKG 2021) – until then you see the verified aerial image or no image instead. Your consent (“Load satellite image”) applies to the open browser tab until you close it; you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future – via “Stop loading the satellite image” next to the satellite image or by saving your choice in “Cookie settings”. In the app it loads in a view without persistently stored cookies. Otherwise the legal basis is taking steps towards and performing the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Other Google map views (for example in the sample reports) load before a purchase only when you tap or click them. Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Owner data: reports for EU and Swiss addresses never contain owner names. For US addresses the report shows the owner of record from public county records with source and retrieval date; data subjects can request suppression at privacy@checkvalue.net (processed within 48 hours).
Recipients: Google Cloud / Firebase (database and file storage in the EU; server functions run in the USA under EU standard contractual clauses), Google Maps Platform (address search and satellite, 3D and street views, see above), Anthropic, Stripe, Apple and Google (in-app purchases and subscription management; RevenueCat Inc. as processor for purchase receipts), Brevo (transactional e-mail, EU), GoDaddy, YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.; only when you start a video, see below). Retention: account until you delete it; reports 12 months; photos 30 days; invoices 7 years; logs 30 days; referral data until account deletion (the e-mail hash stays as a lock against repeated redemption and contains no plain-text personal data).
YouTube videos (two-click embed): on some pages, such as the home page, we show videos hosted on YouTube. YouTube is provided by Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When the page opens we load only a preview image from our own server; the video makes no connection to YouTube or Google at that point. Only when you click “Play video” do we load the YouTube player in privacy-enhanced mode from www.youtube-nocookie.com. Google then receives your IP address, technical details of your browser or device (e.g. browser type, language, screen size), the address of the calling page and playback details; YouTube may use cookies or similar storage on your device, and a transfer to Google LLC, USA, is possible. The legal basis is the consent you give with the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) TKG 2021); it applies to this page view only – the next time you see just the preview image again. The “Watch on YouTube” link opens youtube.com in a new tab. Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection; export and deletion are available in your account. Supervisory authority: Austrian Data Protection Authority.
