System status: report generation operating normally

Getting started

1. How does the free preview work?

Enter the address on the start page, confirm the suggested facts (property type, floor area, year built, condition) – you see straight away how your valuation report is laid out: with your address, your details and the satellite image, all figures blurred as example values from a sample report. The valuation itself is calculated only after purchase. No account, phone number or e-mail address is needed for the preview, and no agent will call you.

2. What does a report cost?

One report costs €4.99, three reports €9.99 (incl. VAT) – purchased reports never expire. CheckValue Pro for businesses costs €49 per month (30 reports, €1.63 per report), €249 per 6 months (180 reports, equal to €41.50 per month) or €399 per year (360 reports, equal to €33.25 per month – €1.11 per report), all incl. VAT and identical to the App Store and Google Play prices; extra reports for Pro customers €0.99 incl. VAT. The app sells packs of 1, 3 and 10 reports and the Pro subscription at the same price as the website. Customers in the United States pay in US dollars, excl. sales tax: $3.99 per report, $8.99 for three (10-pack $22.99 in the app), Pro $45 per month, $229 per 6 months or $349 per year, the App Store price points; an extra Pro report is $0.99. The preview is always free.

3. Do I need an account?

Not for the preview. For reports, yes: one account with a confirmed e-mail address works in the app and on the website alike – your reports, balance and Pro plan are available on every device.

4. Can I try CheckValue without commitment?

Yes – without a trial subscription: the preview of your report is free, a single report costs €4.99 with no commitment, and CheckValue Pro can be cancelled for the end of any term. If you refer CheckValue, you receive a bonus report after the invited person's first paid report (referral programme). All packages at a glance: pricing.

Reports & accuracy

5. How accurate is the valuation?

The market value range is a 68 % confidence band: in roughly two out of three cases the actual sale price falls inside it. How narrow it is depends on the data – number, age and distance of comparable sales, location and condition. Where data are thin, the report is downgraded to “indicative only” and says so. Details on the accuracy page. The report is not an appraisal.

6. Is the report an appraisal?

No. The report is AI-assisted guidance – not a certified valuation, RICS Red Book valuation or formal appraisal. For lenders, courts, authorities or tax purposes you need a licensed or certified appraiser. The wording in the report is adapted per country.

7. Which sources are used?

Per country: official statistics, cadastre and register data, price indices, hazard and noise maps and official orthophotos – for example Statistik Austria, OeNB and HORA for Austria, Destatis and BORIS for Germany, DVF/INSEE for France, INE/Catastro for Spain, OMI/ISTAT for Italy, FHFA/Census/FEMA for the US. Every report contains a reference list with retrieval dates.

8. How do I change facts and re-run?

Open the report in your account and choose “Re-run”. You can adjust the facts; within 24 hours the address is taken from the cache, photos have to be uploaded again. A re-run uses one report.

9. Report in another language

Every report can be opened in your account as a PDF in German, English, French, Spanish and Italian. The model texts are translated and cached; figures, sources and images stay identical. You choose the language of the online report before ordering.

10. Share a report (link/QR)

Every PDF carries a QR code and every report in your account has a share link. Anyone who opens the link sees the PDF – no account needed. The link stops working as soon as you delete the report. Pro customers see their letterhead with logo in the shared report.

Billing & invoices

11. Download an invoice

Account → Plan & invoices: every invoice is listed there – subscription start, monthly, 6-monthly or yearly renewals and individually purchased reports – with the company name, address and VAT ID from your billing address; “PDF” downloads the invoice, “Invoice” opens it at Stripe. Change the billing address in the same tab (“Edit”); all invoices are also in the customer portal. Receipts for app purchases come from Apple (Settings › Apple ID › Media & Purchases) or Google Play (play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory).

12. VAT, VAT ID and billing country

All prices – single reports, 3-packs and CheckValue Pro – include VAT: the total is the same in every country, only the tax share shown follows your billing address (EU rates per country, Switzerland 8.1 %, United Kingdom 20 %; the USA and all other countries without VAT). Any country in the world can be the billing country. Businesses with a valid EU VAT ID outside Austria get the same price without VAT shown (reverse charge – enter the VAT ID at checkout). Extra Pro reports (€0.99) are incl. VAT as well.

13. Refunds and withdrawal

Refunds. Within 14 days we fully refund unused reports of a pack and Pro terms that have not started. A report already generated is excluded because you agreed to immediate delivery. If no report arrives despite payment, or the wrong address was valued, we credit the report back automatically or refund on request – within 30 days, no questions asked. App purchases are refunded by Apple or Google under their rules (Apple, Google Play). The full withdrawal notice with model form is under Legal.

14. Cancel Pro

Account → Plan → “Manage subscription” or the button Cancel subscription – any time, effective at the end of the current term; your reports remain usable until then. You receive a confirmation by e-mail. Subscriptions bought in the app are cancelled in the App Store or Google Play. For the yearly plan we remind you 30 days before renewal.

15. Reports in the app and on the web

One account, one balance: reports bought in the app count on the website and vice versa, and a Pro plan from the store also works on the web. After changing devices tap “Restore purchases” in the app; the balance is then taken from your account. Plan reports are used first, then bonus and purchased reports.

Account & data

16. Confirm e-mail / resend link

After signing up you receive an e-mail with a confirmation link (valid 1 hour). Nothing arrived? Check your spam folder or choose “Resend link” in your account. Without a confirmed e-mail address there are no referral rewards.

17. Export data or delete the account

In your account you can export all data as JSON (“Export my data”) and delete the account. Deletion removes reports, PDFs, photos and share links immediately; invoices are retained for seven years (Austrian tax law), and a hash of your e-mail address stays as a lock against repeated redemption of referral rewards.

18. Photos and privacy

Photos are used only for the report (condition assessment) and deleted after 30 days. Reports for EU and Swiss addresses never contain owner names. Everything else we process is in the privacy policy; requests to suppress US register data go to privacy@checkvalue.net.
